Medical Malpractice

The Medical Malpractice department at The Cochran Firm is made up of 14 attorneys, including one physician attorney, 1 full time nurse paralegal, 2 consulting staff physicians and 1 consulting staff nurse and is assisted by a professional support staff of 20. These attorneys handle only medical malpractice claims, and all have had prior experience as defense attorneys for physicians and hospitals.

The firm handles all types of medical malpractice cases, with particular expertise in cardiac medicine, obstetrics, surgical malpractice, and failure to diagnose cancer claims. Our practice is nationwide, with our attorneys having tried medical

malpractice cases before juries as far south as Florida and as far north as New York, and as far west as California. We also selectively handle major medical malpractice cases in various states. The medical malpractice group has special expertise in handling Federal Tort Claims Act cases involving medical malpractice committed by physicians employed by the Federal government.
