How We Work 4U
Unfortunately, life isn’t always fair. Bad things do happen to good people. Accidents happen, but in virtually all cases, they were caused by the preventable negligence of some other party. A loved one is neglected in a nursing home. A simple surgery ends in death. An inattentive driver changes a life forever. A workplace accident hospitalizes the family breadwinner. The list goes on and on.
When what only happens to someone else happens to you, The Cochran Firm is there. Your first contact with our firm will likely be a phone call. From one of our six full time receptionists, you will be referred to our Case Control Department, where your first intake interview will take place. Staffed by over 30 full time professionals, you will be asked to provide basic information about your potential claim. These interviews typically last between 15 to 30 minutes.
“At The Cochran Firm, we are highly specialized to best serve the needs of our clients.”
Next, you will be provided with an appointment for a complete sign-up interview. Depending upon the circumstances of your particular claim, an in-office appointment may be made, or for your convenience, an in-home, at work or even a hospital visit can be scheduled. With over 25 full time field service investigators on staff, we can typically have someone personally available to meet with you within 48 hours of your initial contact with us. Where an accident has occurred that involves critical time-sensitive gathering we can have one of our licensed investigators at the accident site within 24 hours.
Having completed the initial in-take portion of your potential claim, it will be guided to the particular department in the firm indicated by its facts. At The Cochran Firm, we are highly specialized to best serve the needs of our clients. If you have, for example, a medical malpractice claim, your case will be handled by an attorney who handles only medical malpractice claims. You will have an attorney who is truly a specialist.
Once your claim reaches that particular department, its merits will be reviewed by one of our 5 attorney department heads, who will then, in turn, assign it to the attorney in that department best suited for your particular claim. Generally, within a week of your first contact with our firm, you will have an attorney, a legal assistant, and in the workers' comp, first party, and general negligence departments, a case manager, all assigned solely to your case.
From there, each department has individualized methods of handling its particular cases, and your attorney and case manager will provide you with all necessary guidance and information you require. From your initial contact with us, to the successful resolution of your case, The Cochran Firm emphasizes personal contact and attention.
